Ok, not anymore, but back in the day in Mexico, the bad guys used to get their hearts torn out in a ritual sacrifice- and then the rest of their bad guy parts were put into this delicious concoction.

We were lucky at work today- Elva and Yvonne made Huevos Rancheros for breakfast and Posole for lunch. Happy hostellers and happy staff. Feliz Cinco de Mayo, people eaters!

My equipment has arrived and now it's time to learn how the heck to use it. So exciting! Rules will be made, routines will be established. This may be a challenge, but I'm ready!!!

mind over matter

i'm on a 3 1/2 hour bus ride, mildly hungover from afternoon Tecates & now stuck in traffic.
i really really have to pee.
we finally make it onto the Golden Gate Bridge, journeying into my favorite time of the day. the twilight is calling in the night brilliantly.
